Certass Certified Installer
All Certass competent persons scheme members are regularly audited, both on-site and at their premises.
They also check our business processes and procedures to make sure that we meet the requirements of their Government-endorsed, UKAS-accredited competent persons scheme standards.
All of our residential installations are signed off via Certass, an alternative to using Building Control, with the property owner being supplied with a completion certifiate evidencing our compliance.
PAS2030 Glazing
PAS2030 is the British Standards Institute (BSI) specification that sets the standard for installing energy efficiency measures (EEMS) in domestic retrofit projects. All installers who wish to install such measures under government-funded schemes such as ECO or Green Deal must be PAS2030 certified.
By being one of the few Window companies in the UK to achieve this accreditation, we are demonstrating our commitment to quality and delivering to the requirements the standard sets out for installer competence, technical knowledge, management systems and appropriate training and systems - therefore giving our clients the confidence that comes from a Government Endorsed Quality accreditation.
UKCA
UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is the product marking used for products placed on the market in Great Britian (England, Wales and Scotland), the replacement for CE marking following Brexit.
At Urban Windows, Doors & Conservatories, we UKCA mark our products following the designated standards:
BS EN 14351 for Domestic and commercial Windows & Door sets.
BS EN 1279 for IGU's. BS EN 12150 for Toughened Safety Glass
BS EN 14449 for Laminate safety Glass

In order to achieve, and maintain, the accreditation we are assessed on areas such as; environmental management, quality management, equalities and diversity, ensuring we abide legislation in areas such as modern slavery, anti-bribery and corruption and showing we have been assessed and adhere to these standards.
