- Helps regulate energy - integral blinds give you better control of the temperature of your home, helping you stay cooler in summer and warmer through the winter. Depending on the colour of your blinds and whether they're Venetian or pleated in design, integral blinds can keep out up to 70% of heat in the summer (solar reflection), keep out up to 78% of sunlight (light reflection) and absorb up to 88% of the sun's heat (solar absorption) - creating a more comfortable home.
- Totally hygienic - because they are sealed inside the glazing, integral blinds are dust and dirt free which makes them more hygienic than traditional blinds and other window dressings. Integral blinds are often used in hospital and schools because they do not require cleaning and are hygienic. Plus, the SV system is operated using an external magnetic slider which is treated with the Sanitized® patented antibacterial finish, for long-lasting protection.
- Child friendly - children can very easily pull the cords or put their fingers inside traditional Venetian blinds and cause damage or potentially hurt themselves. Integral blinds are child friendly as they are safely positioned inside the double-glazed unit. Our C System is operated by a continuous cord loop which is held lightly under tension by a cord tensioner which fully complies with Make it Safe, a campaign from the British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) to promote window blind safety in all homes, public buildings and other environments where babies and young children may be present.
- Ideal for homes - integral blinds are sleek, stylish and popular with homeowners. They are particularly suited to bi-fold doors, sliding patio and French doors, which are increasingly popular in conservatories, orangeries and kitchen and house extensions.
- Ideal for businesses and other commercial premises - in the commercial market integral blinds are installed in external glazing, curtain walling and facades, as well as internal partition walls to create privacy and also control the heat and glare of the sun, and create better working environments.
- No cleaning and maintenance free - integral blinds are sealed between the panes of glass in double glazed windows and doors. They are not exposed to the elements, dirty fingers or dust. The blinds are inside the glass, so they never need cleaning and are maintenance free. They are a fit and forget product.

- Easy to install - sealed units with integral blinds inside are easy to install. SV System
Cordless magnetic slider
The blind is operated using a patented magnetically controlled slider positioned on the side of the double glazed unit which allows a Venetian blind to be raised, lowered and tilted.
C System
Corded with a winder, wand or knob
Simple and elegant, the C System works in a way that is familiar to any other type of blind. You can choose a cord to raise, lower and tilt the blind or alternatively specify a knob or wand to operate the blind.
MB System
Motorised with a brushless motor
This advanced motorised integral blind system allows you to operate the blinds using a remote control device, wall mounted controls or automatically via a home automation system. The blinds can be sequenced for a very special result!
W Smart
Motorised with solar power
With no hardwiring needed, the W Smart is ideal for homeowners looking for a simple motorised blind system for their windows and doors. It takes its power from the sun, via a small photovoltaic panel mounted on the outside of the door or window - low carbon automation and highly desirable.
S System
Magnetic slider for pleated blinds
This allows a pleated blind to be raised and lowered without any cords. The slider is positioned on the bottom rail of the blind and slides up and down the glass thanks to a clever combination of magnets.

We were looking for a new patio door and window for our in-progress loft conversion, and having done our research decided we wanted some 'in-window' blinds. Turns out they aren't that common, so reached out to a number of potential suppliers. Urban Windows were the only ones to respond quickly, fully and made us comfortable from the start. Prices were good, and they worked with us and the loft installers to deliver and fit on a day that suited us. Was a challenging fit, as the loft installers hadn't removed a brace correctly, so the hole wasn't the right size, but got that sorted and the door and window (which were exactly the right size) were fitted that day. Very happy with the result, and the blinds look great. Door locks are top-notch. When the loft conversion is done, and savings re-filled, we plan to replace some other aging windows, so will be coming to Urban again.
